Verso la notte degli Oscar dopo i Golden Globe – nominations & winners.

Cari lettori, oggi parliamo di cinema. In particolare dei premi del mondo del cinema, i più importanti e accreditati: gli Academy Award, comunemente conosciuti come “Oscar“, e i Golden Globe, assegnati rispettivamente dalla A.M.P.A.S. (Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences) e dalla HFPA (Hollywood Foreign Press Association).


Come da tradizione, i Golden Globe vengono assegnati quasi due mesi prima degli Oscar. Per questo, si è sempre guardato ad essi come a degli anticipatori dei verdetti dell’Academy.

Va segnalata però quest’anno una sottile polemica intercorsa tra i fautori e componenti della giuria dei Golden Globe e i loro corrispettivi dell’Academy;

polemica evidentemente sulle scelte fatte in materia di film e attori insigniti delle nomination, che si è percepita, con battute salaci e ironia mordace, anche durante la 68° cerimonia di assegnazione dei Golden Globe 2011, tenutasi il 16 gennaio scorso al “Beverly Hilton Hotel” di Beverly Hills, in California (le nomination erano state annunciate il 14 dicembre 2010).

Sostanzialmente, la HFPA (di cui sopra) ha fatto intendere che d’ora in poi le loro scelte e criteri di assegnazione dei Golden Globepiù libere e indipendenti rispetto a quelle dell’Academy, sciolte da ogni “vincolo”, per così dire, di affinità d’intenti con essa, perdendo quindi quella sorta di “funzione anticipatrice” degli Oscar che finora gli è stata sempre implicitamente attribuita: un deciso cambio di rotta, insomma, che ha portato a una notevole diversificazione nelle scelte fatte per i Golden Globe, visibile già dalle candidature di quest’ultima edizione.

Passiamo ora, invece, agli Academy Award 2011. La cerimonia di assegnazione delle ambite statuette dorate, comunemente chiamate “Oscar”, si terrà proprio oggi 27 febbraio. La location della “Notte degli Oscar” sarà, come da tradizione, il Kodak Theatre” a Los Angeles.


I conduttori della cerimonia saranno gli attori James Franco e Anne Hathaway. La diretta televisiva della “Notte degli Oscar” sarà trasmessa, come di consueto, dalla rete statunitense ABC (in Italia sarà possibile seguirla, sempre in diretta, sul canale satellitare “Sky Cinema 1” a partire dalle 23:50 di stasera).

In conclusione segnalo che l’unico film italiano in concorso è “Io sono l’amore” (I Am Love) del regista Luca Guadagnino, con una nomination ai migliori costumi per Antonella Cannarozzi.

I film con il maggior numero di candidature sono “Il discorso del re” (12), “Il Grinta” (10), “Inception” e “The Social Network” (8), “The Fighter” (7), “127 ore” (6) e “Il cigno nero” e “Toy Story 3” (5).


Adesso non ci resta che attendere la “Notte degli Oscar”. A presto!
